I wrote to the folks in the tourism departmet regarding the sale of alcohol for Superbowl Sunday, which coincides with the local elections this year.
Hello,
I am getting questions from tourist who plan trips that will include days of the elections in February. Most understand there are no alcohol sales but inquire if consumption is allowed. If they buy in advance, and consume on election day do they violate any laws?
They also want to know how many days before and after the election are "dry"; is the time 48 hours before the election date?
What is the actual election date?
Thanks,
Jim Wilson

Dear Mr. Wilson:
As per your questions, the Election Day is February 3, lasts elections, the dry law was only for the local people and Mexican and tourist were able to drink at their hotels without any problem, however I am checking this with the local authorities and will contact you back with complete information.
Usually is only 24 hours before the Election Day, I do not think there will be any problem with them drinking on the same day while watching super bowl.
Feel free to contact me if you need any further information or assistance.
Sincerely,
Ana Bravo
